1960 Omega Railmaster (Ref. 2914-6) "Lollipop"
There’s no lack of love for vintage Omega these days, but that doesn’t mean you can’t wear something unique! Omega’s most popular watches have always struck a balance between handsome design and field-proven functionality. The Railmaster -- which was introduced in 1957 -- is a rare bird made to be used by scientists or anyone working in close proximity to strong electrical fields and magnetism. The incorporation of a thicker dial and a Faraday cage in its design made the Railmaster a watch that could be depended upon to work accurately by people that truly relied on their watches as an important part of their tool kit. This example of a Railmaster Ref. 2914-6 was made in 1960, is in absolutely fantastic condition, and features a highly desirable “lollipop” sweep seconds hand.

CASE & BRACELET
The excellent case retains strong and symmetrical lugs that show signs of light polishing in the past with signs of slight use. The smooth stainless steel bezel is in excellent condition, showing only light signs of previous use. The case retains its original Omega signed "Naiad" crown. The case back retains its factory markings in deep and legible condition. The watch also retains its original Faraday cage movement cover. The watch will come supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap.
DIAL & HANDS
The original matte black dial is in absolutely exceptional condition, showing no major signs of age or blemishes. The radium lume plots have achieved a handsome golden coloration, under U.V. light inspection the lume plots show almost no degradation except for the 5 o'clock plot which does exhibit some lume loss. The original dauphine radium hands match the dial perfectly, the white "lollipop" sweep seconds hand is also original and rare. The hands display no lume loss or degradation when inspected under U.V. light.

None. The watch has been recently serviced and is running perfectly, backed by a 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
