The Omega Seamaster ref. 165.037 SP is a well-rounded and handsome wristwatch from Omega, perfect as an everyday timepiece. The ref. 165.037 SP is powered by the respected cal. 550 movement, fitted into an elegant design that is subtle and well-balanced. The ref. 165.037 SP Seamaster is both relevant and a suitable option in any environment, featuring a 35.5mm case with long and broad lugs which increase the overall case size, and a classic dial layout that is both stylish and recognizable.

Turler was established in 1883 by two brothers, Jean Henri and César Alexander  Turler. The two brothers made a name for themselves by offering their customers the newest and most exclusive Swiss watch brands at the time; namely Omega, Longines, IWC, Vacheron Constantin, and Blancpain. After establishing themselves as one of the top retailers in Zurich Switzerland, and with the prestige the Turler name carried, they started to cosign the dials of some of the watches they offered, similar to the other well-respected retailers at the time. These Turler cosigned watches produced throughout the 20th century are now desired by collectors alike for their rarity and the provenance they carry.

CASE & BRACELET

The classic Seamaster case has been lightly polished in the past and retains full and symmetrical lugs that show light signs of previous use. The smooth stainless steel bezel shows some light signs of use. The case retains its original Omega signed crown. The case back retains its factory markings in clear and crisp condition. The case does exhibit some minor corrosion which has been cleaned. The watch comes supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap.

DIAL & HANDS

The handsome and original brushed silver dial is cosigned by Turler and is in fine vintage condition, showing some light marks and signs of age, appropriate for a watch from this era. The tritium lume dots at the tips of the hour markers have taken on a charming dark patina, under U.V. light inspection the 11 o'clock marker display light degradation and the rest of the lumes are fully intact. The original tritium hands match the dial and exhibit no degradation when inspected under U.V. light.
