1956 Omega Dress Watch 14K YG (Ref. N6596) Champagne "Quilted" Dial

Case in point, this gorgeous 14k gold automatic dress watch from the late '50s. It may not have one of the famous monikers on the dial (Seamaster, DeVille, etc) but it makes up for it with wide, eye-catching lugs and an absolutely stunning "quilted" dial aesthetic, that, in some ways, makes it even more attractive than its more famous brethren.

CASE & BRACELET

The incredible 32mm 14k yellow gold case is in remarkable overall condition, featuring wide wing-like lugs that belie an incredibly slim and flat wrist presence. The watch retains its factory dimensions with only minimal signs of previous polishing and honest signs of use. The case retains its original gold Omega signed crown. The case back shows some signs of light wear but is otherwise clean and free of any engravings or markings. The watch comes supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap.

DIAL & HANDS

The incredible and rare champagne "quilted" dial is in fantastic condition with just a few marks from age. It features alternating embossing to create tricks of light as the watch moves. The tonal hour markers and matching sword hands are all in excellent condition. The "crosshair" subseconds just above 6 o'clock adds to the overall dressy aesthetic of this beautiful piece.
