$ 6,500

Bueche Girod was founded in 1947 by master watchmaker Vital Bueche, who first made a name for himself by creating movements for large brands. Vital created Bueche Girod as a platform to offer his own concepts and creations -- Unique wristwatches similar to those of Piaget, Boucheron, and Cartier, with the fine jewelry elements of horology being celebrated above all else. Along with the house's own creations, Bueche Girod also created models in tandem with other brands, the most notable brand of which being Cartier, with the most recognizable models of their collaboration being the Maxi Oval Baignoire and the Tank Alongee that Steve McQueen wore in the "Thomas Crown Affair".

Executed in a similar fashion to the Tank Alongee created for Cartier, though with slightly reduced proportions, this 18K yellow gold "Cintree-style" Cuvex model features an elongated and slim rectangular shape with a dramatic curve that comfortably forms around the wrist. This particular example is especially special as it remains in exceptionally well-preserved condition, featuring an unpolished case, near-perfect dial, and its original strap and buckle.
