1969 Rolex Oysterdate Precision (Ref. 6694) With Box and Military Provenance
Manual wind movements have always been a part of Rolex, and the 6694 was a staple in the Rolex production line from the 60s to 80s. The workhorse Rolex 1225 movement is reliable and dependably accurate. This particular model is what we would consider a "time capsule" piece, featuring its original U.S. Army and Airforce sales receipt, box, hang tag and caseback sticker. The watch itself is unpolished and the dial has taken on a uniquely different patina that really creates a wonderful vintage look on the wrist. This watch is a true collector's piece with fascinating provenance perfect for the collector obsessed with the small details.

The unpolished case remains sharp showing factory finishing and honest wear from use. The smooth stainless steel bezel remains unpolished as well with light wear. The Rolex 7205 rivet bracelet with 60 end pieces shows some wear and exhibits little to no stretch.
DIAL & HANDS
The brushed silver dial has taken on an interesting lighter patina around the hour markers that makes for a wonderful vintage look and feel. The tritium markers have aged to a nice light yellow coloration and show as fully intact under U.V. light inspection. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly and exhibit no degradation when inspected under U.V. light. The silver date wheel is era correct with open 6's and 9's.
