Jaeger-LeCoultre
Tropical 1970s Jaeger-LeCoultre Club (Ref. E300105)
Antoine LeCoultre created the LeCoultre brand in 1833 with the intent of crafting movement blanks (or unfinished movements) for some of Switzerland's most prestigious watchmaking houses, including Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe. Nearly a hundred years later, in 1937, LeCoultre merged with the Jaeger brand to form Jaeger-LeCoultre and become the brand we know and love today.
The Jaeger-LeCoultre ref. E300105 is part of the Club line, a collection the brand introduced in the ‘70s as an entry-level offering (though, let’s be honest - “entry-level” for a brand like Jaeger-LeCoultre is still a pretty fantastic piece). There were a few different styles produced under the Club moniker, some more unique than others. While this is a more traditional design overall, there are several things that make it stand out in its own right, most noticeably the gold dial with its chunky indices, stout hands and horizontal day-date function. Add to that the fantastic Cal. 1906 automatic movement and a clean case, and you’ve got a really great way to start a love affair with one of the best watch brands on the planet.

CASE & BRACELET
The excellent stainless steel case has been gently polished in the past and retains very full and symmetrical lugs that display very minimal signs of use. The case retains its original Jaeger-LeCoultre signed domed crown. The screw-down case back is clean and features a faint engraving that reads " Love You, "25" - Lois". The watch will be supplied on a handmade leather strap.
DIAL & HANDS
The original dial has aged to achieve a gorgeous gold coloration and is believed to have been originally blue from factory. The dial features chunky silver markers and exhibits some light marks from age. The original wide stick-shaped silver hands are in fantastic condition. The lume on the dial and hands matches and has taken on a handsome dark patina.
ACCESSORIES
None. The watch is functioning and keeping time, the previous service history is unknown.
