*Unpolished* 1971 Rolex Two-Tone Datejust (Ref. 1601) Satin Lemon Dial
The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and most beloved Rolex watches ever made, even though the Datejust was launched in 1945 it has remained a timeless classic and is instantly recognizable as an item of refined quality and functional design. The Datejust can be worn just as easily with a suit as it can be with jeans and a tee-shirt. CASE & BRACELET
The exceptional case is in beautifully crisp unpolished condition with sharp factory finishing and light signs of honest use. The yellow gold fluted bezel is also unpolished and impressively crisp with a beautiful patina developed through age. The case back also remains unpolished with its original factory finishing intact. The original Rolex two-tone 6252H 14 Jubilee bracelet with 255 end pieces is stamped 2/72 and features a beautiful patina through the end pieces and some of the links, the bracelet retains 20 links that show only moderate stretch and will fit up to a 7 1/4-inch wrist.
DIAL & HANDS
The original "pie-pan" satin yellow dial is in flawless condition, showing no damage or age whatsoever. The tritium lume plots exhibit no degradation when inspected under U.V. light and have taken on a charming golden patina that blends with the dial nicely. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly and show no degradation under U.V. light inspection. The metallic gold date wheel is original with "open" 6's and 9's.
ACCESSORIES
None. The watch was recently serviced and is keeping time perfectly, backed by a 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
