Tropical 1958 Omega Constellation Calendar (Ref. 2943 2 SC)
While today the Constellation line is overshadowed by Omega's Speedmaster and Seamaster models, the striking Omega Constellation family was once the flagship in the Omega collection.
Dating back to 1952, the Omega Constellation has been regarded as one of the most luxurious and precise watch collections offered by the brand. Add to that the fact that they have always been chronometer-rated, and you have a watch that is not only stunning in nearly any setting but also incredibly accurate.
Case in point: this 1958 Omega Constellation Calendar ref. 2943 2 SC, which is absolutely classic and incredibly handsome with its gorgeously patinated silver dial. It's one of those pieces that's well-rounded and can fit into myriad situations, always looking good on just about any wrist.

CASE & BRACELET
The stainless steel case has been lightly polished and features crisp and defined edges and finishing throughout. The unsigned scalloped crown appears to be an early replacement. The snap on case back is clean, showing appropriate signs of use for its age and retaining the constellation medallion at its center. The watch comes supplied on a two-piece leather strap.
DIAL & HANDS
The original silver dial is a treat for the eyes with its champagne-esque patina. The inlaid radium lume has aged to a rich brown color both on the dial and in the handset. The applied logos, ornate markers, and dauphine hands give this watch a sophisticated presence. Under UV light inspection the lume in the dial and hands exhibits no notable degradation.
ACCESSORIES
None. The watch is keeping time and functioning, previous service history is unknown.
