1960s Wittnauer Genève Professional Chronograph Reference 7004A
Vintage Wittnauer chronographs have been growing in popularity among vintage collectors. Specifically, the Wittnauer chronograph reference 7004A. This great example possesses some key elements that make it highly desirable including its 40mm case size, lollipop sweep seconds hand, and a unique and eye-catching burgundy bezel. The simple and clean dial displays a tachymeter and a regatta countdown in the rightmost subdial. The Manual-wound chronograph caliber Valjoux 7733 is a workhorse and a favorite among manual wind chronograph fans.

CASE & BRACELET
The unpolished case retains factory chamfers showing honest wear from use. The original burgundy bezel is in excellent condition showing little wear from use and no longer retains lume at 12 o'clock. The pump pushers and Wittnauer signed crown remain original to the watch. The original JB Champion bracelet remains in excellent condition showing light wear and some stretch from use.
DIAL & HANDS
The matte black dial remains in flawless vintage condition. The early hour, minute, and sweep seconds hands remain in good vintage condition. The lume on the dial has achieved a wonderful custardlike patina and when inspected under U.V. light shows no lume loss or degradation. The lume within the hands matches the dial but appears to have been restored at some point previous to our acquisition of the watch.
ACCESSORIES
None. The watch is keeping time at spec but extended service history is unknown.
