1970 Rolex Submariner (Ref. 5513)

The Rolex Submariner Reference 5513 is the embodiment of the classic dive watch. The 5513 is simple yet sophisticated and rugged. The Ref. 5513 was first introduced in the 1962 and ceased production in late 1989. The Ref. 5513 is a purpose-built dive watch that lacks the date function like other Rolex Submariner models. (eg. Ref. 1680.)

CASE & BRACELET

This 1970 Rolex Submariner ref. 5513 has an excellent case that has been previously been polished but retains nice thick lugs and good overall case geometry. The original insert has taken on a stunning and deep blue-grey fade and retains a partial pearl. The Rolex C&I Oyster rivet bracelet big logo clasp remains in very good condition showing normal minimal stretch for its age the inside of teh clasp is stamped 1-71 and retains 10 links.

DIAL & HANDS

The original matte black dial is in stunning and original condition showing no blemishes or markings. The tritium lume plots match the original hands perfectly and have taken on a wonderful sought after custard like patina. Both the dial and the hands do not exhibit any lume degradation when viewed under U.V. light. dial and hands are 10/10 in condition.

ACCESSORIES 

None. The watch just received a full and complete overhaul and is running at COSC spec backed by a 1-year warranty on the accuracy of timekeeping.
