MINT 1970s Aquastar Seatime (Ref. 1000)

The Aquastar brand is "relatively" new to the watchmaking world as they didn't debut as a company until 1962 in Geneva and were most known for they're watersport related timepieces, such as diving watches and regatta chronographs. 

The Seatime references first appeared in 1970 and perfectly embodies the golden era of dive watches of the late 1960s into the 1970s. The Seatime is similar in design to the Aquastar Atol but the major difference is that the Seatime features an inner rotating bezel, instead of having the bezel externally like the Atol. This inner bezel design is much like the super-compressors of the era although this Seatime is not a true super compressor. Another interesting feature is that the internal bi-directional bezel with diver scale is controlled by the same crown that sets the time, unlike a true super compressor that leverages two crowns in that one crown is dedicated to setting the time and the other for adjusting the inner rotating bezel. The Seatime came in both men and ladies' sizes and came in steel and gold plated versions. and commonly came on either a rubber diving strap or a mesh style NSA bracelet.
