Omega
1971 Omega Seamaster De Ville Automatic (Ref. 166.030) Silver "Sigma" Diamond Dial
The world of vintage Omega is vast. It's filled with interesting and unique references, in some ways, unlike almost any other manufacturer.
The Omega De Ville was first introduced as a subcategory under the Seamaster name in the early '60s, until Omega saw the early success of the younger and dressier styles of the De Ville. In 1967, Omega transitioned the De Ville to become a stand-alone product line within the Omega family, and it remains today as one of the brand's most respected names for producing many unique designs.
The Omega Seamaster ref. 166.030 is a well-rounded and handsome wristwatch from Omega, and one that works perfectly as an everyday timepiece. The ref. 166.030 is powered by the respected cal. 563 automatic movement, fitted into an elegant design that is subtle and well-balanced, featuring a 35mm case with long, svelte lugs that increase the overall case presence and a unique diamond dial that is both stylish and recognizable.

CASE & BRACELET
The stainless steel case has been lightly polished with long, straight lugs that show light signs of use. The case retains its original Omega signed crown. The original Omega signed crystal. The watch comes supplied on a 2-piece handmade leather strap.
DIAL & HANDS
The luxurious and unique silver "sigma" sunburst dial features factory-set diamond markers at 6, 9, and 12 o'clock, giving the watch a subtle yet stylish flair while also achieving a larger wrist presence than its case dimensions measure due to the silver dial. The dial itself is in exceptionally well-preserved vintage condition, showing no damage or notable elements of age. The tritium lume plots exhibit some light degradation throughout, though most remain intact and feature a charming eggshell patina. The original enamel inlaid and tritium tipped hands complement the subtle elegance of this watch perfectly. Under inspection, the tritium hands match the dial perfectly with no degradation, though there is some black enamel missing in the minutes hand.
