1976 Tudor Chronograph (Ref. 7149/0) "Monte Carlo"

Tudor has a long history of well made, purpose-built chronographs. The most sought-after and interesting is that of the "Monte Carlo". Boasting a 3 color dial of generally vibrant colors. The "Monte Carlo" is at its core, a high visibility racing chronograph. First produced in 1970 and featured in 3 references and bezel styles; plastic bezel, stainless steel bezel, and a rotating bezel variant. 

This specific Tudor "Monte Carlo" chronograph Reference 7159/0 is the second iteration of the Tudor chronograph. Featuring a newer Valjoux cal. 234 movement allowing a date function at the 6 o'clock position. The dial was updated to block style markers and baton hands for a more conservative presence whilst remaining equally visible.

This watch is loved by collectors as one of the more creative and design-oriented vintage chronographs ever produced. In result, we are seeing less and less on the open market as beloved collectors are keeping them and holding onto them creating a substantial demand increased in recent years.
