1929 Omega Trench-Style Watch 9K YG "Enamel Dial"
Before World War I, most watches came in the form of the pocket variety, with wristwatches being far less popular. But during the War, when the soldiers in the trenches needed a timepiece that could be read quickly and easily while holding a rifle, those pocket watches got modified into wristwatches—or wristlets, as they were often referred to back then—to make them much more usable. Fittingly, those watches came to be known as trench watches.
This 1929 Omega appears to be inspired by such style of wirstwatch – and a striking example of one at that, featuring an incredible 9k gold cushion case with fixed spring bars and a remarkable enamel dial with blued breguet hands and a sub-seconds dial. It's one of the most stunning trench-style watches we've seen, and would be an incredible addition to any collection.

CASE & BRACELET
The fantastic 9k gold cushion case with fixed strap-bars is in superb condition and shows signs of gentle previous polishing with the original geometry remaining present. The unsigned crown is likely an early replacement. The case back is in excellent shape considering the watch's age, and features a beautiful engraving dated 1933. The watch is supplied on a two-piece leather strap.
DIAL & HANDS
The gorgeous enamel dial is in remarkable condition, especially considering the watch is nearly 100 years old, showing no cracks and minimal aging. The Breguet numeral hour markers add an extra air of luxury, and perfectly complement the blued Breguet-style hands.

None. The watch is keeping time, but the service history is unknown.
