1960 Tudor Prince Oysterdate (Ref. 7968) Grey Rose Dial
The Rolex/Tudor relationship dates back to 1926 when Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of Rolex SA, acquired the Tudor company in an effort to create a more affordable alternative to the flagship Rolex name. Producing watches with similar likeness side by side, both Tudor and Rolex are revered for their quality in craftsmanship and brand integrity. That craftsmanship is on full display in this Prince Oysterdate.

CASE & BRACELET
It features a 34mm stainless steel case with a lightly sloped bezel and Rolex signed crown and case back. The standout design element on this Prince is the fantastically twisted lugs. Long, slender and swirling they seem to stretch away from the bulk of the case. The watch comes supplied on a two-piece leather strap.
DIAL & HANDS
Depending on the light available, the dial takes on tones of grey, blue and black. It features alpha hands with beautifully aged tritium to match the tritium markers on the outer seconds track. The hour markers are stunning, sharp and dangerous looking, steel daggers pointing toward the dial center. The dial does exhibit some honest signs of age.
