1967 Omega Automatic Seamaster 120 (Ref. 166.027)
There is something about the early vintage Omega Seamsters that truly embodies the golden era of dive watches of the 1960-1970's. Omega has a long history and heritage in dive watches, which dates back to the 1930s. The seahorse-adorned case back of the Seamaster series pays tribute to Neptune, the Roman god of the sea. The seahorse logo was conceived by engraver Jean-Pierre Borle. He was inspired by an image of Neptune driving a chariot pulled by seahorses, which is why the Omega seahorses are depicted wearing bridles.

CASE & BRACELET
The excellent case appears to have only been very gently polished in the past as the original factory geometry remains crisp while the watch shows gentle signs of use. The original black bezel shows gentle wear and is in overall great condition with the tritium pearl intact at 12 o’clock. The case retains its original Omega signed crown. The case back retains all of its factory markings in visible condition with light signs of use present. The watch comes supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap.
DIAL & HANDS
The matte black dial with applied "Omega" logo is in superb original condition, showing no damage or notable age. The tritium lume plots have aged to a tasteful deep yellow-green color and feature no real degradation when inspected under U.V. light. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly with no degradation present under U.V. light inspection.
