This reference employs the Omega cal. 321 chronograph movement, the very same movement Omega used in the "Moonwatch" Omega Speedmaster Professional. The cal. 321 is one of Omega's most robust movements due to its superior performance and durability and it was in production for roughly only 11 years, though the production of this specific movement was cost-prohibitive, and it was later replaced with the cal. 861 movement.
