1968 Rolex Two-Tone Datejust (Ref. 1600) Taupe "Ghost" Dial

The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and most beloved Rolex watches ever made. CASE & BRACELET

The excellent case display thick and symmetrical lugs that retains very crisp finishing with minimal signs of use or previous polishing present. The 14K yellow gold smooth bezel is exceptional and features a lovely rosey patina from age and only minor signs of previous use. The Rolex 6251H two-tone Jubilee bracelet with 55 end pieces dates to 1971 and is likely original to the watch, the bracelet retains 21 links that show light stretch from use and will fit up to a 7 1/2-inch wrist.

DIAL & HANDS

The original and beautiful taupe sunburst "pie-pan" dial with yellow text features a charming "ghost" effect under certain light. The dial is in perfect condition showing no age or damage whatsoever. The tritium lume plots feature a lovely golden patina with no degradation present when inspected under U.V. light. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly and exhibit no degradation under U.V. light inspection. The metallic gold date wheel is original with "closed" 6's and 9's which is correct for this era.

None. The watch is keeping time perfectly, backed by a 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
