Seiko
1970 Seiko Automatic (Ref. 6106-7107)
It’s hard not to love pretty much anything Seiko designs. Established in 1881, the Japanese brand has become one of the biggest names in watchmaking, with some truly iconic references to boot.
Built in 1970, this “UFO” model—so referred to because of its almost otherworldly saucer-shaped case—is a super clean example of early Seiko design exploration. It’s also a real conversation piece, thanks especially to its equally unique steel bracelet, the clean and legible dial, and the pop of bright orange that anchors the piece.

CASE & BRACELET
The excellent stainless steel case has been gently polished in the past. The case retains its original recessed button crown which operates the day-date function. The case back retains all of its original finishing and factory markings. The watch is finished with its original Seiko stainless steel bracelet with a Seiko clasp and it will fit up to a 7 1/2-inch wrist.
DIAL & HANDS
The original and vibrant matte orange dial features large black and silver block markers that give the watch impressive dimension to the dial. The inner rotating black bezel also features nice dimensions and remains in excellent condition. The original lume plots and lume in the hands all remain fully intact and have aged to a dark, almost black coloration.
