1970s Jopel Chronograph Date 'Valjoux Cal. 7734'

Fresh from the personal collection of style icon, automobile enthusiast, and Urban Outlaw himself, Magnus Walker, comes this 1970s Jopel Chronograph in fantastic condition.

The '60s and '70s were a boom time for watches, which resulted in all kinds of brands coming out of the woodwork to take a piece of the action and offer something that just might stand out from the growing crowd.

Many of these brands no longer exist, which leaves us with a glut of very cool pieces that we know little about, like this Jopel. It's a beautiful dual-register chronograph with a stout DLC-coated cushion-style case that gives off some Porsche Design vibes. It also has the Valjoux cal 7734—a direct descendant of the legendary Valjoux 7730—ticking away inside. Despite not knowing much about the history of the brand, we can certainly tell they definitely crafted something that was made to last and to make a statement.

While we'd love to know more about the brand, the apparent lack of readily available information will give you something to nerd out about as you dig through the depths of the internet looking for whatever you can find.
