1970 Rolex Submariner (Ref. 5513) "Non-Serif Dial"
The Rolex Submariner Reference 5513 is the embodiment of the classic dive watch. The 5513 is simple yet sophisticated and rugged. The ref. 5513 was first introduced in 1962 and ceased production in late 1989. The Ref. 5513 is a purpose-built dive watch that lacks the date function like other Rolex Submariner models. (eg. Ref. 1680.)
This 1970 Rolex Submariner Ref. 5513 checks all the vintage must-haves for a reference 5513, we especially love the vivid yellow coloration the lume has taken on. The overall aesthetic of this watch is everything we love about vintage submariners. This Rolex Submariner reference 5513 would make a great daily driver as it's appropriate for any style and setting.

CASE & BRACELET
The very strong case has been very lightly polished in the past and still retains slight chamfers down the lugs that remain thick and symmetrical throughout, the case does display light signs of honest use. The original Mk. III "fat font" bezel insert has faded to a gorgeous light grey color and exhibits only minimal signs of use and retains a matching tritium pearl at the 12 o'clock position. The watch comes on a 2pc olive drab canvas strap.
DIAL & HANDS
The matte black "non-serif" dial is in exceptional condition, showing no damage to the dial itself and almost no age. The tritium lume plots have aged to a vivid yellow coloration that jumps off the dial, under U.V. light inspection the lume shows no degradation, though there are some light dark spots on the lume itself. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly and display no degradation when inspected under U.V. light.
