1980 Tudor Blue Submariner (Ref. 94110) Snowflake "Leopard Dial" W/ Box
The Tudor “Snowflake” is the nickname given to the Tudor Submariners with unique features such as the square hour markers and a unique snowflake hands that were introduced by Rolex/Tudor to increase visibility in low light conditions. In production from 1968 to the mid-1980s with dial variants commonly found in black or blue and the watch can feature at date complication. However, there is more to the Tudor’s Snowflake Submariner line than its unique and different visual features.
The Tudor Snowflake Submariners, much like the other Submariners produced by Rolex and Tudor, have a long-standing history and were supplied to military forces including the U.S. Navy and the Marine Nationale (French Navy)

The second-generation Tudor Submariners also marked the watchmaker’s transition from caliber 390 movements produced by Parmigiani Fleurier SA (Fleurier) to movements produced by Swiss watchmaker ETA which made the Tudor Snowflake Submariners the first Tudor watches to use these modified ETA movements.
This Tudor Snowflake ref. 94110 has achieved an interesting "leopard print" dial patina that is both unique and beautiful. This Tudor Submariner would make a great addition to a growing collection or be a great first piece as it retains the classic and timeless look of the Submariner while being unique and eye-catching as a result of the unique dial and hand configuration

CASE & BRACELET
The previously lightly polished case retains thick and even lugs with light honest wear from use. The bezel insert retains it's tritium pearl which matches the dial perfectly, remains deep blue in coloration and shows almost no signs of use. The case retains its original Rolex signed "Trip-lock" crown. The watch will come supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap.
DIAL & HANDS
The original blue "Snowflake" dial has taken on a gorgeous spotted patina that resembles leopard print. The tritium lume plots have aged to an excellent creamy yellow coloration and exhibit no degradation under U.V. light inspection. The original tritium hands match the dial nicely, under U.V. light inspection the hour hand shows a small luminova repair at its base, the minute and sweep-seconds hands remain fully intact. The silver date wheel is era correct.
ACCESSORIES
This watch comes with its original inner and outer boxes. The watch is functioning and keeping time perfectly, previous service history is unknown.
