1984 Rolex GMT-Master II "Fat Lady" (Ref. 16760) Spider "No Date" Dial W/ Rolex Guarantee Paper
Introduced in 1983 the Rolex reference 16760 was the first GMT-Master II and had a few features that weren’t present on the previous GMT Master models. The Rolex GMT Master ref. 16760 was only in production from 1983 until 1988.
These features included a sapphire crystal, an independent ability to set the GMT hand, a thicker case that earned the reference the nickname "Fat Lady", the first GMT to use a black and red insert sometimes referred to as the "Coke" insert and a gloss black dial with white-gold index surrounds. The ref. 16760 is also sometimes referred to as the “Sophia Loren” drawing comparisons between the new curves of the watch and the Italian beauty icon.
This is a truly exceptional example and is becoming a highly sought-after modern classic This piece would make a great stand-alone piece or a great addition to an existing collection!

CASE & BRACELET
The impressive case was recently professionally polished to display prominent, factory-like finishing and chamfers through the symmetrical and very thick lugs. The original "Coke" bezel insert is in beautiful condition, featuring a deep red and a dark anthracite color with almost no signs of previous use present. The original Rolex 78360 Oyster bracelet retains its original and rare 501 end pieces and has 11 links that show almost no stretch and will fit up to a 6 3/4-inch wrist. The bracelet comes with 2 additional links as well.
DIAL & HANDS
The original and beautifully preserved glossy black dial with white gold surround markers features an extremely subtle, yet handsome, and sought-after "spider web" patina that is only visible in direct light at certain angles but adds to the overall vintage charm and aesthetic of the watch as a whole. The tritium lume plots have achieved a vibrant creamy yellow patina with no degradation present under UV light inspection. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly, under UV light inspection the second's hand exhibits some very minor cracking and remains stable with the rest of the hands showing no degradation. The white date wheel is original with "open" 6's and 9's.

The watch comes with its original Rolex guarantee paper and 2 additional bracelet links. The watch is keeping time perfectly, backed by a 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
