Piaget is widely celebrated as one of the most creative and esoteric watchmakers, with a deep foundation in Swiss watchmaking, as the brand was established in 1874. The avant-garde approach to design isn't without a rigorous dedication to quality, which is expressed through the brand's inherent comprehension of what high luxury and fine watchmaking truly are.

The Polo –arguably the most recognizable model from Piaget– is the truest essence of a luxury sports watch. Originally introduced as a quartz watch in 1979 and cast almost exclusively in 18K gold, the Polo quickly rose the ranks in its field, competing against the likes of the Royal Oak and Nautilus. The relatively simple design made a perfect canvas for experimentation and evolution for the Polo line, with new and unique variants still being discovered today.

The Piaget Polo ref. 24001 M 517 D, sometimes referred to as the "new polo", is a 1990s evolution of the Polo line featuring an automatic movement, date complication, and one of the most opulent designs that feels distinctly Piaget. While Piaget is no stranger to incorporating precious and semi-prescious stones into their watches, the design of this Polo is extravagant, even for Piaget. Starting with the bracelet –being more of a functional piece of art- is set in 18K yellow gold with solid cylinders of lapis lazuli stone for the center links, an incredible feat of jewelry design ingenuity that compliments the 18K yellow gold head and lapis lazuli dial for a truly cohesive and stunning work of art.
