Tropical 1969 Rolex Oyster-Perpetual Date (Ref. 1500) "Blue Camo" Dial W/ Double Punched Papers

The impressive case is incredibly crisp and thick, featuring sharp lines and finishing throughout the extremely thick lugs with almost no signs of use shown. The smooth stainless steel bezel exhibits no apparent signs of use and is in crisp overall condition. The era-correct Rolex 7835 folded-link Oyster bracelet with 357 end pieces is stamped 2/72 and is potentially original to the watch. The bracelet retains 11 links that show almost no stretch and will fit up to a 6 3/4-inch wrist. 

The original and truly unique blue dial has achieved a stunning one-of-one patina that spans the entire dial, creating an aesthetic similar to that of camouflage. Apart from the enhancing patina, the dial displays no actual damage or wear. The tritium lume plots all remain fully intact and original when inspected under U.V. light and have taken on a mostly tan coloration, though some of the plots display a darker patina which is common. The tritium hands match the dial nicely and are tritium service units. The metallic date wheel is original with "closed" 6's and 9's which is common in this era.

The watch comes with its original serial-punched "Rolex Oyster" booklet as well as its serialized chronometer certification paper. The watch is keeping time perfectly, backed by our 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
