Tropical 1970s Mido Automatic Gold-Plated Chronograph (Ref. 0900-2) "Valjoux Cal. 7750"

Mido was founded by George G. Schaeren in Biel/Bienne Switzerland in 1918 offering Art Deco timepieces to both Men and Women. The Mido brand evolved through the 20th century, introducing numerous innovative designs, and was the first company to utilize an "unbreakable" mainspring.

Employed by Tudor, Porsche Design, Heuer, IWC, and countless other brands, the famous Valjoux cal. 7750 movement is a cornerstone within the watchmaking world for its robustness and complexity. Not only does this movement function as a chronograph, but it is self-winding with a quick-set day and date complication and features both a 30-minute timer and a 12-hour register.
