Tropical 1960s Satelite Skin Diver

Fresh from the personal collection of style icon, automobile enthusiast, and Urban Outlaw himself, Magnus Walker, comes a 1960s Satelite skin diver in fantastic condition.

The '60s and '70s were a boom time for watches, which resulted in all kinds of brands coming out of the woodwork to take a piece of the action and offer something that just might stand out from the growing crowd.

Many of these brands no longer exist, which leaves us with a glut of very cool pieces that we know little about, like this Satelite. It's a beautiful skin-diver style watch with a rotating bezel and a bit of a Zodiac-meets-Omega vibe. Its 36mm case makes it imminently wearable, plus it'll give you something to nerd out about as you dig through the depths of the internet looking for all the info you can find.

CASE & BRACELET

The unpolished chrome-plated brass cushion-style case is in good vintage condition, showing honest wear throughout and retaining strong factory dimensions with sharp edges. The rotating bezel is in excellent condition, showing very few signs of wear or age. The watch appears to have its original unsigned crown. The stainless steel case back shows signs of wear but still has all factory engravings. The watch will come supplied on a vintage single-pass nylon NATO strap.

DIAL & HANDS

The original dial is surrounded by a checkerboard motif on the furthest edges and has started to take on an interesting red-ish purple tropical patina. All of the original tritium lume plots, including the lumed numerals remain intact and have aged to a dark brown color. The oversized baton-style hands are in great overall condition and have both aged to a similar coloration as the hour markers with no degradation present under UV light inspection.

ACCESSORIES

None. The watch is keeping time, but the service history is unknown. A movement service can be provided upon request.
