Seiko

1971 Seiko Chronograph (Ref. 6139-6010)

In the 1960s and 1970s, Seiko produced a variety of affordable automatic chronograph watches. Seiko’s first automatic chronograph caliber was the 6139, which was available in several models, in a variety of colorways. The movement has a 30-minute register at the 6 o'clock subdial, with start/stop and reset pushers.

During the height of his fame, Bruce Lee was known to wear at 6139-6010. Choosing to wear an automatic chronograph seems to make sense for someone on a movie set filming and timing precise choreographed fight scenes.
