1973 Seiko Automatic Chronograph (Ref. 6138-0030) "Kakume"
The Kakume or “Square Eyes” Seiko automatic chronograph is powered by the revered Seiko cal. 6138 movement and beloved by enthusiasts for its oddball design and color scheme. Featuring large and square sub-dials unusually placed at the 12 and 6 o’clock positions on the dial, the ref. 6138-0030 also features a quickset day and date complication. This original Seiko Kakume example is very well preserved and comes on its original Seiko bracelet.

CASE & BRACELET
The large stainless steel case has been gently polished in the past and retains all of its angles and dimensions. The blue Tachymeter bezel remains vibrant in coloration and shows light signs of use. The case retains its original pump pushers and crown. The case back retains all of its original factory markings in crisp condition. The watch comes on its original stainless steel bracelet.
DIAL & HANDS
The inky blue dial is reminiscent of the night sky and shows some light marks throughout and patina around the markers. The lume-topped markers show some light degradation throughout. The original luminous hands are in fantastic condition with inlays that match the dial, and the orange seconds and subdial hands add a nice pop of extra color.
