1965 Tudor Submariner Gilt Chapter Ring Dial (Ref. 7928) "Faded Insert"
The Tudor Submariner Ref. 7928 was first introduced in 1960. The Ref. 7928 is like the little brother to the Rolex 5513/5512 references as they share a lot of the same exact parts and although different they do share a lot of similar design elements. An interesting fact is that the Rolex Submariner and the Tudor Submariner were actually developed at the same time and launched just a few months apart from each other. The Tudor Submariner Ref 7928 is just as handsome as the big brother Rolex 5512/5513 references but again possess a unique charm and feeling that is uniquely Tudor!
This would make a great addition to a growing collection or be a great first piece as it retains the classic and timeless look of the Submariner while being unique and eye-catching.

CASE & BRACELET
The excellent and sharp case has the original bevel clearly visible, with the top right lug being polished we believe the rest of the case to remain unpolished. The watch comes complete with a "Kissing 40" fat font bezel insert that has faded to a wonderful smokey grey coloration. The tritium pear appears to have be partially repaired at some point but remains partially intact and still shows the presence of tritium under U.V. Light The case also retains the original and era correct Rolex 7mm "Twin-Lock" crown that does not exhibit the dots or underline, The watch will come supplied with a handmade vintage style strap.
DIAL & HANDS
The rare silver gilt chapter ring dial is visibly striking and highly sought after among the vintage watch collecting community. The glossy dial remains in an amazing condition showing slight surface patina that is consistent throughout the dial. The hands and lume plots have achieved a stunningly warm and golden like patina, and remain fully intact and when viewed under U.V. light show no lume degradation.
