Piaget
1970s Piaget Ladies Dress Watch 18K YG (Ref. 9902 G1) ‘Cal. 9P1'
Piaget was established in 1874 and is widely celebrated as being one of the most creative and esoteric watchmakers, with a deep foundation in Swiss watchmaking. Their avant-garde approach to design was never without a rigorous dedication to quality, the combination of which is expressed through the brand's inherent comprehension of what high luxury and fine watchmaking truly are and should look like.
This very stylish, yet subtle women's dress watch from the '70s is the perfect example of that. The Piaget in-house 'ultra-thin' caliber 9P1 is housed inside an also ultra-thin, 18k gold case with an integrated bracelet that wears remarkably well no matter the wrist size. It's a timeless piece from a highly-respected yet slightly under-the-radar brand, making it a fantastic option for any collection.

CASE & BRACELET
The svelte ultra-thin 18K yellow gold case measures only 4.5mm thick and is very well-preserved, showing honest signs of gentle use and nominal evidence of being previously polished. The unsigned crown is original to the watch. The case back display light wear with the factory engravings remaining very deep and crisp. The integrated 18K yellow gold bracelet shows visually no stretch and will fit a 5 3/4-inch wrist.
DIAL & HANDS
The original gold sunburst dial features painted black Roman numerals and black leaf-style hands which create a striking and welcomed dark contrast to an otherwise fully gold watch for an overall very elegant aesthetic. The dial is in excellent condition, showing no age or obscene damage, though surface of the dial does exhibit some extremely subtle hand drag that is not visible to the naked eye. The black hands are in excellent condition with minor oxidation present.
