Omega
*Unpolished* 1968 Omega Seamaster 18K YG (Ref. 168.009) Green Lacquer Vignette Dial W/ Box
While today the Constellation line is overshadowed by Omega's Speedmaster and Seamaster models, the striking Omega Constellation family was once the flagship in the Omega collection.
Dating back to 1952, the Omega Constellation has been regarded as one of the most luxurious and precise watch collections offered by the brand. Add to that the fact that they have always been chronometer-rated, and you have a watch that is not only stunning in nearly any setting but also incredibly accurate.
This ref 168.009 is an especially beautiful example from the 3rd generation of the Constellation, with its Gerald Genta-designed C-shaped case, coin-edge gold bezel, unique green lacquer vignette dial, and workhorse cal. 564 movement. It would be an excellent classic piece to add to any collection.

CASE & BRACELET
The minty, like-new-old-stock, unpolished 18K yellow gold case is in incredible condition, showing almost no signs of previous use and a deep rose patina that has developed from the case never being polished. The factory brushing and case bezels remain extremely crisp throughout as well. The coin-edge 18K yellow gold bezel is also in exceptional condition. The case retains its original Omega crown. The case back Observatory medallion is in perfect unpolished condition along with the rest of the case back. The watch comes supplied on its original Omega "Cousu-Main" 2pc black alligator leather strap with the original Omega gold plaque tang buckle.
DIAL & HANDS
The original and extremely uncommon green lacquer vignette dial is absolutely stunning. The dial exhibits some subtle spidering which is expected for most lacquer dials of this era, however, no actual damage, scratches, or notable aging is present in the dial. The tritium lume plots have achieved a charming creamy golden patina and show no degradation under UV light inspection. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly with no degradation present when inspected under UV light.
ACCESSORIES
The watch comes with its original box. The watch is keeping time perfectly, previous service history is unknown.
