1968 Omega Seamaster De Ville Automatic 'Gold Cap' (Ref. KM 6068) Silver "Radial" Dial

The Omega De Ville was first introduced as a subcategory under the Seamaster name in the early '60s, until Omega saw the early success of the younger and dressier styles of the De Ville. In 1967, Omega made the De Ville a stand-alone product line within the Omega family, and it remains today as one of the brand's most respected names for producing many unique designs.

This ref. KM 6068 is a well-rounded and handsome example, and one that works perfectly as an everyday timepiece. CASE & BRACELET

The gold-capped stainless steel case has been lightly polished and features long, straight lugs that show light signs of use. The case retains its original Omega signed crown. The case back retains its original Seamaster medallion in crisp condition. The watch comes supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap.

DIAL & HANDS

The simple silver sunburst "radial" dial gives this watch a much larger appearance than its case dimensions would imply and is in absolutely incredible condition for a 55-year-old watch, showing no signs of wear or age anywhere. The inlaid hour markers and outer minute track are exceptionally clean and legible. The lume plots have aged to a light cream color and exhibit only minor degradation in some of the plots. The original gilt hands brilliantly complement the subtle elegance of this watch and match the dial perfectly, once again showing practically no signs of wear.
